MNHT provides personal and quality hand therapy services for residents of the Mid North. The clinic was established in 2010 by hand and upper limb therapist Simone Schut.
Simone is a qualified Hand and upper limb Therapist (HAULT AUT, 2010), with a bachelor degree in Human Kinetic Technology (The Hague,1995) and Occupational Therapy (Amsterdam, 1999). She has been a registered Hand Therapist in New Zealand since 2010.
Simone has more than 20 years of experience in the field of hand and upper limb therapy. She started her career at the University Medical Center Groningen in the Netherlands, lecturing occupational/hand therapists in biomechanics and orthotic techniques. She soon discovered she was interested in teaching clients as well. Simone believes educating and informing clients regarding their condition is one of the most important parts of her role as a hand therapist.
